On April 16-17, 2022 in Pedagogical college named after M.O. Auezov in Semey city the republican debating tournament “ORATOR CUP: COMEBACK”, devoted to 125 anniversary of M.O. Auezov was held. Auezov and the 19th anniversary of debate club “Orator”, organized by the head of intellectual discussion club “Orator” N. Sagimbekov. 32 factions from 64 speakers from Nur-Sultan, Semey, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Pavlodar, Karaganda, Uralsk, Kostanai, Balkhash, Almaty took part in the tournament. The game was held in BPF and LD format. On day 1 of the tournament there were 2 rounds with open judging and 2 rounds with closed judging. Results of the qualifying rounds were announced, followed by a friendly futsal debaters.
On April 17, games in LD format (¼, ½ finals) and BPF format were held among the speakers, who scored the highest number of points in the games before the qualifying round. At the end of the game, the judges made their judgments.

2. “Expecto Patronum” Mukanova Ayaulym, Abdykhadir Gulzat – (Pavlodar) – finalist;
3. “Slytherin” Tuikenova Asylay, Kumarova Akmaral – (Semey) – finalist;
4. “SAFRA” Sultan Azhar, Alzhanova Altynai (Nur-Sultan/Karaganda) finalist.
Kuanysh Moldakashev (Semey) became the “Best Speaker” of the tournament, Kusman Aidana (Semey) was recognized as the “Best Judge”.
As a result of the tournament, the winners and prize-winners were awarded cash prizes, diplomas and cups. In the “Open Mic” section, debaters from other cities expressed their gratitude to the orators for the high and interesting organization of the tournament and shared their good impressions.
